Has spring sprung?

The last week has seen the thermometer hit 21 degrees. For you old fasioned peeps, haven't got a clue what that is in old money but very warm for a spring day. My first week of hedging for friends has gone really well, felling a monster tree in the process. Hopefully next week will also be a good one as it looks like we're in for sunshine for the duration. Pizza oven progress has been slow due to my absence from chez moi, I have however managed to get another course of stonework done and had the first burn in the oven, no cracks so far so fingers crossed. All things green are moving forwards, the spring onions have sprung, beetroot is just popping out of the soil and I've overhauled half of the mill ring, topping it up with more strawberry plants. My theory is that with enough plants, we may see a strawberry this year before Peter scoffs the lot.

Well done you! Tell Peter the strawberries are mine. Or failing that plant raspberries which I prefer anyway. Looking foward to hearing the results from the oven. Did you say it was going to look like Maralyn's well when you finished?

Will it only cook pizzas? What about bread or beef or custard....

Has your beetroot germinated outside in the garden or is it in the greenhouse?
