Well, I finally managed to put the advert on the internet today for the puppies. So far I have dealt with three phonecalls and at least 20 emails. Lets hope that we find good homes for all of them. By popular demand here are photos of all nine of the little cuties, including Bertie and All Black Girl!!!! Josh also took a snap of the proud mummy and brother!!
On 27th December 2007, after travelling round France, we finally moved in to our own French dream. As well as having the memoirs of our travels on the blog, it is also an ongoing account of our new life in France.

Back to the usual madhouse
After my week of peace and tranquility, the madness has returned. The noise of screaming kids throughout the day echoes around the valley, closely follwed by the bellowing of a very irate father.
So far we have not managed to find homes for any of the puppies. We will be left with either eating them or teaching them to swim. As for the piglets, they're all doing well and I am quite looking forward to eating one in the not too distant future.
I also want to eat one of the goats but Jane is kicking up a fuss about it.
We barbecued in the rain last night and, after dinner, Kirsty had her makeup done so I thought I'd stick a picture up of the finished product.

We went to London
We went to London on Wednesday on the underground train. We got on the underground train at Terminal 5 and got off at Hyde Park Corner. We walked around to the information place and we walked with Grandad. We saw the new 7/7 memorial. There were big posts which said where the bombs went bang and there were lots of posts. There was a post for each person that died. Then we went to see some big gates, big big big. Grandad took some photos of them. Then we went for a walk to Buckingham Palace and saw the Changing of the Guard. Then we went and had McDonalds for lunch and then we went on the London Eye. When we got off the London Eye we walked over a bridge and over the other side was the underground station which was Piccadily Circus. Then we went back to Terminal 5 where Grandma picked us up and took us home.

Another exciting day ..
The kids and I have had another great day. We have played with the donkeys and visited Wraysbury School. It was lovely to catch up with people and the kids enjoyed gloating over the fact that they are already on holiday!!
Josh and Kirsty met their third cousins, at least I think that is how it works .... Andrews cousin Emilys twins for those of you who know the family. They are gorgeous. I am glad that Emily can tell them apart though, I just had to resort to the one in pink and the one in stripes. Sorry Emily. It was lovely to see a very grown up Daisy Jane as well. Lets hope we can persuade them to come to France to play soon.
Anyway, tomorrow is another busy day so I must get some beauty sleep ..... Take care all.

England for a week .....
Well, the Frenchies have descended on Datchet for a week. We are having a fun packed week apart from the noise pollution, air pollution, traffic jams ...... need I go on? The shopping is however quite novel, there are shops open on a Sunday and they have bargains!! Lets hope my shopping day that is planned for Wednesday goes well too!!
We have already visited Grandma Jenny, Grandad Gerry, Grandma Nett and Tom, Gretta, Auntie Heather, Uncle Ian, Rene .... the list goes on. We have also inspected the new extensions in Lawn Close and sampled the local fish and chips. All I have to do now is complete the list of people to visit and have KFC. It is hard to fit everyone in within the week so I apologise for those of you reading the blog who we dont get to see.
I will take lots of photos and try and update before we go back to France. If anyone wants to come and see us one evening you will have to call. Take care peeps. xx

Look who got her leg over!!
As we near the end of yet another weeks holiday in France with Jane & Andrew, I was tasked with being the first person to ride Surprise. I was slightly weary as she has never been riden before and its a long way down!! After coercing her with a bucket of food Andrew managed to get her to stand next to stalls in the barn to enable me to climb on. Well that was achieved and then she started to move.. it was a very tense moment as she wasn't looking very happy with me sat on her back. Needless to say she left the barn and walked as far as the gravel area where she refused to go any further!! After gentle persuasion with the remaining food from the bucket she walked back to the barn where i gladly dismounted. The shortest horse ride in history!!! For those of you who are getting witdrawl symptoms i have also added puppy and piglet pictures.

The demise of Andrew & Jane
It is with no regret that I must announce the sad departure of Andrew and Jane. They had been living with us here in France since the house warming party in 2008, waking the world every morning and generally annoying all and sundry.
On the 7th July, 2009, they succumbed to the brutal attack of a machette weilding alcoholic resulting in there instanaeous, well after a bit of flapping, death. As if this was not brutal enough, it was followed with a scalding bath for 30 seconds before being stripped naked outside in the rain. You would think this was evil enough but then they suffered a full disection and autopsy in the kitchen before being stuffed with apples and roasted for 2 hours. In their final route to the departure lounge, they were then consumed by a bunch of ravenous children and adults. By god did they taste good. RIP? Not likely mate.
