Kirsty had written a huge list for her birthday again this year. Needless to say the baby sister was not going to be considered and the pink laptop is definitely off!!
The day started well and the game of Uno, the hair straighteners/curlers/crimpers, money etc etc were appreciated. The surprises started in the afternoon.
Pulling up to the large supermarket in the car with Grandma Irene as chief assistant Kirsty was bored! Typical! After looking at a few shops we went to the nail bar. Little did Kirsty know that mummy had already booked appointments and was stuck for words when the lady started questioning her on which colour she would like.
After a nice relax and a coffee we then managed to find our way to the next surprise, the cinema, to see the Life of Pi. Thankfully our friend Helen had noticed that it was still on in a local cinema. Grandma Irene managed the whole film in French and Helen managed to sit on my lap for most of the film!! There were a few jumpy moments.
Leaving the cinema behind we walked to the local pizza restaurant where the table had been booked for all nine girlies. Apart from Grandma Irene, Kirsty and I, we also had Helen, Anna and their daughters. We were right next to the kitchen which was great for watching the chef, Grandma Irene kept her eye on him all night! The waitress organised the icecream finale, including birthday candles and indoor firework. The entire restaurant sang Happy Birthday, including the chef, a great end to a great day.
Happy Birthday Kirsty.
