A New Era

It has been a busy week here in France. Peter has now completed his first full week at school. After a few days of nerves he now has mastered the art of not crying when he goes in!!!! He has settled in the afternoons when he is supposed to have a nap as well, the blanket did the trick!! His love of art has already been noted in the school. A piece of 18 inch square paper was entirely covered in paint the other day. The other children had just done a few brush strokes on their pieces.
Sasha has had an operation this week. She seems to be making a good recovery but is not happy with us still. She is even less happy with the cone on her head that makes her walk into everything in the house. She has still to master the art of walking through the door without almost ripping her head off. Thankfully it has only got to be on for a week, after which her stitches will be taken out and she should be back to normal. The good thing of course is that we will no longer have to worry about new arrivals!!!!!
The new turkeys have settled in well to their new abode and the peacock is very happy to have some company at last. The two new arrivals are growing well and hopefully will be on target for a nice size come Christmas!!
Josh and Kirsty are back into the swing of school and homework. Josh is looking forward to his homework being increased (not) and Kirsty is looking forward to teaching daddy lots of new words.
Andrew is settling into life on his own without his little helpers. We should now have lots of jobs on their way to completion. The only thing on his mind though at the moment is BALL!!!! Softball that is!!!! The field is being prepared and the cinema loaded with more baseball films than I have hot dinners.
Me, I am back at work thank goodness.
Love to all and hope to see everyone really soon. xx
